black friday

I never really partake in the black friday shopping craze. I feel like to get excited for it, I need to have what I want to buy in mind (which is rarely the case). Plus the idea of struggling through crowds of people while under my food-induced coma was not appealing. This morning I woke up late, grabbed an apple and a mug of coffee and at noon headed out with my mom to browse the shops. I bought two sweaters while my mom got a pair of black heeled boots. It was nice to be out of the city and driving again. We came back home and I saw the prettiest sunset I've seen in a while. Later that night while walking along the boardwalk of our town beach I got to see stars! A bunch of them too. Coming home to the suburbs has it's perks.

The little self-control I have is what prevented me from entering any more shops. The storefronts become so enticing during the holidays (and Thanksgiving didn't even pass yet!). Gap was (is?) having a n up to 60% sale storewide. All the items we tried on were on sale (the prices above are the original prices without sale).
