I never really partake in the black friday shopping craze. I feel like to get excited for it, I need to have what I want to buy in mind (which is rarely the case). Plus the idea of struggling through crowds of people while under my food-induced coma was not appealing. This morning I woke up late, grabbed an apple and a mug of coffee and at noon headed out with my mom to browse the shops. I bought two sweaters while my mom got a pair of black heeled boots. It was nice to be out of the city and driving again. We came back home and I saw the prettiest sunset I've seen in a while. Later that night while walking along the boardwalk of our town beach I got to see stars! A bunch of them too. Coming home to the suburbs has it's perks.

The little self-control I have is what prevented me from entering any more shops. The storefronts become so enticing during the holidays (and Thanksgiving didn't even pass yet!). Gap was (is?) having a n up to 60% sale storewide. All the items we tried on were on sale (the prices above are the original prices without sale).

Yesterday, me and MJ visited the Austria Pop-up Store down in Soho. It was in an open gallery which I visited a while back for their indoor park. The front is set up with various informational stations like books, samples, and travel information. Downstairs there was a small installment of the original Sacher Café from Vienna as well as a swarovski display, and different works of art.

p.s. the sunflowers were from the Union Square farmers market. My favorite! It's too bad they won't be around anymore because of the weather.

A little peak into a portion of my jewelry collection. These are the items I wear most right now. I've just recently started keeping all of my jewelry in their respective cases/bags. The salesperson at Bloomingdales who has practically become my bff told me "fashion jewelry" tends to get ruined if left out in the open for extended periods of time. Whether it's true or not, it's in my head so now everything stays inside.

The brown leather strap is from J.crew. The emerald and silver bracelet I found in my cousin's abandoned jewelry box.

I've forgotten where most of these rings came from. The pale emerald band is from Aldo and the crystal encrusted band is from a boutique in greenwich village.

The turquoise earrings are from Anthropologie, the small hoops are from swarovski, the swarovski dewdrops were self-assembled by my father for my 19th birthday and the shield-like earrings were bought at a small boutique in greenwich village.
